Affordable wall art from Lost prints and independent artists. Vintage photography layered with geometry, color fields, subtle distortions and unique photography. For people who want wall art with texture, memory and a bit of analogue weirdness.
What is Kodachrome?
The 35mm film was renowned for its vibrant colors and exceptional archival qualities. Kodachrome captured many iconic images during its lifespan. It accompanied Edmund Hillary to the top of Mount Everest in 1953. Abraham Zapruder was filming with 8mm Kodachrome in Dallas when he accidentally captured President Kennedy's assassination. Steve McCurry used it to capture the haunting green-gray eyes of the "Afghan Girl" in 1985.
Kodachrome was permanently discontinued by Kodak in 2009. Unlike most color films (which have dyes built into the emulsion), Kodachrome's proprietary K-14 process required dyes to be applied meticulously during development. It required highly toxic chemicals, precise temperatures, and specialized, aging machinery, which are no longer supported. The last roll of Kodachrome was processed in 2010, marking the end of an era for this iconic film.

Why we make them
Lost Prints is built around the lost charm of kodachrome. We look for compositions, colours and odd little moments that still feel alive, then turn them into prints that suit contemporary spaces.
We also showcase the work of independent artists who share our love for photography. Our collections are a mix of Lost Prints originals and collaborations with artists who bring their own style and vision.
